Futility

Dear People at Work,

If I didn't personally give you my blog address, and you read this blog, then don't talk to me about it. Furthermore, don't tell other people at work about it. I like my anonymity and I hate being included in the work gossip circle. I have found that most rumors at work tend to be false anyway, so I'd rather that my name be kept out of it. Yes, I know that I am putting my personal life out on the internet for the whole world to read, but most of those people don't know who I am in real life. If you haven't noticed, I don't post my name, picture, or address. I would like that information to stay private, so please help me keep it that way. By all means, feel free to continue reading my insane thoughts on life, but please don't tell other work people about me.

Love,
The Merry Widow

Good luck with this. I had the same problem -- some dummy who I told about my blog (dummy me, too) apparently felt it was his right to blab all over town that I had a blog...and I am still pissed at him for it, six months later.

If someone is giving the Merry Widow a hard time then I say "Fuck off" to them.

How dare they?

and the censoring shall begin.

I hate it when people you don't want to know about the blog find out about the blog.

Sammish: Thanks!!!

Alexandrialeigh: I hear ya on that. I don't have a problem with people reading my blog, it's just that people at work tends to be one big gossip mill.

RSL: Yeah!!! I've got your back too.

Kristine: You're right. Even though I've never talked about work on this blog, I think that I'm gonna have to think twice about what I post from now on. Bummer, eh?

Lesson Number One: never tell anyone in real life about your blog.

I don't really think there is a lesson two or three. I didn't give anyone my blog address and uh, several of you know about it.

And gossip about it, you doughnut head. :)

It'll be okay. If it gets too bad, buy a domain and block your work IP. And of course, as you said, never blog about work. EVER. Nothing.

Also, it is probably not a good idea to post nudie pictures of yourself. Or me.
